An international law enforcement team has arrested a Chinese national and dismantled a significant botnet, believed to have operated for nearly a decade. The botnet, known as “911 S5,” generated at least $99 million in profits by selling access to criminals who engaged in identity theft, child exploitation, and financial fraud, including scams targeting pandemic relief funds.
