Five rescue dogs, Ares, Kratos, Zeus, Titan, and Gaia, retired after 7 years of service with Ecuador’s fire department. Lieutenant colonel Esteban Cardenas praised their role in earthquake and landslide rescues in Ecuador and abroad, including a mission to Mexico in 2017, working alongside German shepherds and golden retrievers.
