Jerusalem’s deputy mayor, an ultranationalist Israeli politician, has requested that rubbish not be collected from the French consulate. This move comes after Paris barred Israeli firms from an arms show. Organisers of the Eurosatory trade show, located just outside Paris, announced last month that French authorities had banned Israeli firms. The French defence ministry explained the decision, citing Israel’s military operations in Gaza’s Rafah city.
