Israelis assembled in Tel Aviv to mark the 20th birthday of Naama Levy, a captive held by the Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza since October 7th. The protesters, accompanied by the rhythmic beating of drums, released balloons into the sky and chanted slogans. As they called for the freedom of all hostages taken by Hamas in the aftermath of their lethal assault on Israel, the demonstrators shared small cupcakes decorated with birthday candles.
