A stegosaurus nicknamed Apex will be auctioned in New York, remains showed signs of arthritis

The nearly complete fossilized remains of Apex, a 161-million-year-old stegosaurus, will be auctioned by Sotheby’s in New York next week. Discovered in Colorado in 2022, Apex stands 11 feet tall and 27 feet long. Sotheby’s estimates the sale at $4-6 million, highlighting Apex’s advanced age and unique features as part of their “Geek Week” series.
