Gunmen attacked a remote village in central Nigeria, killing eight people and kidnapping about 150 more in the country’s latest mass abduction. The attack took place in Kuchi village in Niger state, where local government chairman Aminu Najume reported that heavily armed bandits on motorcycles stormed the village, killing eight individuals and abducting over 150 villagers. The attackers operated for three hours without any intervention, highlighting the vulnerability of the area to such attacks.
