NYT columnist Thomas L Friedman wrote with a heavy heart that it is now time for Joe Biden to bow out of the contest with dignity. Friedman said Biden has been his friend since 9/11 when they travelled together to Pakistan and Afghanistan. So far, Friedman was ready to give Biden benefit of doubt but not after the CNN face-off. Friedman wrote he wept after watching the debate.
