Israeli forces initiated a fresh offensive targeting central Gaza, following a hostage rescue mission in Rafah the previous day. The operation in Rafah had led to the loss of 274 Palestinian lives. As part of the new assault, tanks pushed deeper into various neighborhoods of Rafah, with the objective of separating a specific area of the southern city.
