Russia denies involvement in missile strikes at children’s hospital in Kyiv

Russia has dismissed allegations of its involvement in the missile strikes that damaged a children’s hospital in Kyiv on Monday, attributing the damage to Ukraine’s anti-missile defense systems instead. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified Russia’s position on Tuesday, stating that the destruction was due to Ukraine’s defensive actions. “Russia’s stance has never been to target civilian infrastructure in Ukraine,” Peskov asserted, though he provided no evidence to support this claim. Peskov urged reporters to rely only on statements by official Russian authority.
