In 1995, Tim Walz was arrested for drunken driving by Trooper Stephen Rasgorshek. Walz, then a teacher, proactively reported the incident to his principal and resigned from extracurricular duties. He turned the experience into a teaching moment for his students. The incident resurfaced as he now pursues the vice presidency.
