The top United Nations court is ruling on Mexico’s request for Ecuador to protect diplomatic property after the storming of the embassy in Quito to arrest former Vice President Jorge Glas, drawing condemnation in Latin America. Alejandro Celorio Alcantara criticized Ecuador’s actions at a hearing last month. Ecuador’s legal team head, Andres Teran Parral, defended the embassy storming.
