The United States announced on Sunday that it has requested a vote from the UN Security Council on its proposed resolution. This resolution supports a plan for an ‘immediate ceasefire with the release of hostages’ between Israel and Hamas. Diplomatic sources revealed that the vote is planned for Monday. However, it has not yet been confirmed by South Korea, which holds the Security Council presidency for June.
