Western states are facing escalating wildfire dangers due to a prolonged heat wave, with temperatures soaring and humidity plummeting. California has already dealt with over 3,500 wildfires this year, burning nearly 325 square miles. Oregon also faces significant fires, while the heat wave affects over 142 million people across the US, breaking numerous heat records and causing several fatalities.
